INTRODUCTION
The Department of Swasthavritta & Yoga deals with the preventive and promotive aspects of Ayurveda. It emphasizes the maintenance of positive health through principles such as Dinacharya (daily regimen), Ritucharya (seasonal regimen), Sadvritta (ethical conduct), Ahara (dietary discipline), and Yoga. The department aims to impart comprehensive knowledge of holistic healthcare to students and to guide society toward a balanced lifestyle integrating physical, mental, social, and spiritual well-being.
Objectives
- To educate students about the preventive and promotive healthcare principles of Ayurveda.
- To promote awareness of Dinacharya, Ritucharya, and healthy dietary practices among students and the community.
- To integrate Yoga for physical fitness, mental stability, and spiritual growth.
- To organize health education programs, workshops, seminars, and community outreach activities.
- To encourage research in Swasthavritta, Yoga, and lifestyle-related disorders.
- To develop practical skills in lifestyle counseling and preventive healthcare management.
- To promote ethical conduct (Sadvritta) as a foundation for holistic well-being.
- To contribute toward building a health-conscious and disease-free society through preventive healthcare education.
