INTRODUCTION

Agadtantra & Vyavahar Ayurved Vidhi Vaidyaka
This branch of Ayurveda deals with the detailed study of natural and artificial toxic substances and poisons, including their sources, clinical features, signs and symptoms, diagnosis, and management with appropriate antidotes. It also encompasses the legal aspects of medical practice, medical ethics, and standards of professional conduct.

Objectives

Our Vision

  • To integrate law and medicine in order to prepare medical students to competently fulfill their medical, legal, and social responsibilities within the healthcare profession.
  • To impart comprehensive knowledge and clinical competence in the diagnosis and management of poisoning cases.
  • To train undergraduate Ayurvedic students, as well as professionals from allied disciplines, in the principles and practices of forensic medicine and Agadtantra.

Our Mission

  • To develop competent first-contact physicians with a comprehensive understanding of medical ethics, professional responsibilities, statutory regulations, and the clinical principles of Agadtantra governing medical practice.
  • To train doctors who are well-informed and compliant with their medico-legal obligations, including the clinical management of poisoning and toxicological emergencies.
  • To provide structured training in Agadtantra-based clinical toxicology, judicial medical services, forensic pathology, and clinical forensic medicine.
  • To equip Ayurved graduates with the ability to make systematic observation, diagnosis, and logical inference to effectively support criminal investigations and medico-legal case work.
  • To foster sustained interest in research and scholarly activities related to Agadtantra, toxicology, and medico-legal sciences.
